Efekto Zero Rat

Reg. No. L11269 Act No. 36 of 1947

A ready-to-use rodenticide soft block bait for the control of mice (Mus musculus), Norwegian or brown rats (Rattus norvegicus) and Roof rats (Rattus rattus) in and around buildings, including strains resistant to anticoagulants.

  • Fast colony kill: Controls infestations in seven days in field trials.
  • Efficient use of bait: Allows for shorter baiting programs, less bait to kill populations, and reduced time and waste.
  • Effective resistance management: Kills anticoagulant-resistant rodents.
  • Lower risk of primary and secondary non-target poisoning.
  • No known resistance, and development of resistance considered highly unlikely.
  • Shorter baiting regimes and quicker rodent control compared to anticoagulant baits.
  • Highly palatable even when other attractive food sources are available.
  • Durable in all control situations and stable under extreme temperatures.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE- USE ONLY AS DIRECTED

General directions:

  • EFEKTO ZERO RAT is a ready-to-use, soft block bait, for application in and around buildings.
  • EFEKTO ZERO RAT is a highly palatable all-purpose rodenticide, based on cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).
  • Equally effective against rats and mice, including strains resistant to anticoagulants.
  • Place EFEKTO ZERO RAT at covered bait points, or in bait boxes, throughout the infested area. The prevention of access by non-target animals is a priority.
  • Baits must be securely deposited in a way so as to minimise the consumption by other non-target animal species and children.
  • Where possible, secure baits so that they cannot be dragged away.
  • DO NOT REMOVE BAIT FROM WRAPPER.
  • The product must never be used indiscriminately.
  • Rodent death will occur 2 – 10 days after ingestion of a lethal dose, which may take two or more feeds. Most rodents die in their burrows, out of sight.
  • This product contains denatonium benzoate (BitrexTM) to help prevent accidental human consumption.

Preparation for baiting:

  • Before placing EFEKTO ZERO RAT, inspect the infested site thoroughly to determine the location of all rat and mouse entry, nesting and feeding sites.
  • Pay special attention to dark corners and areas, where rubbish has accumulated, roof spaces, hollow walls, under floors and particularly, in the case of rats, all sources of water.
  • PLACE THE BAIT IN PLACES WHERE THEY ARE INACCESSIBLE TO CHILDREN AND NON-TARGET SPECIES.
  • The bait should be covered to prevent access by birds and domestic pets, and to prevent them becoming unpalatable.
  • Suitable covers would include drain pipes, tiles or boards leant against especially inside walls. Rodents feel more secure when feeding under cover.

Baiting:

Follow DIRECTIONS FOR BAITING below.

SITE AND PEST DIRECTIONS FOR BAITING
RATS

(Norway and Roof rats) Commensal rodent control in and around buildings (Domestic, commercial and agricultural):

Select suitable baiting points after having inspected the infested site as mentioned under DIRECTIONS FOR USE above (e.g. in active rat holes, along runs, under rubbish and where rat droppings are located).

Attempt to establish a barrier of pasta bait between the living and feeding areas of the rats. Place up to 150 g (8 units) of EFEKTO ZERO RAT bait at each bait point (at 1Om intervals). Always place bait where it is inaccessible to children, animals and birds, such as under flooring, inside ceiling cavities, along pipe runs and conduits and behind skirting boards, furniture and appliances.

Inspect bait frequently, particularly in the first ten days and replace eaten bait. If a bait point is completely consumed, the quantity should be increased. Continue replenishing baits until they are left untouched.

Look for, and burn all rodent carcasses and empty containers.

MICE

Commensal rodent control in and around buildings (Domestic, commercial and agricultural):

Mice are more difficult to control than rats because their feeding patterns are more erratic. They usually range over limited areas and do not need to drink. Site exploration is therefore very important.

Place up to 40 g (2 units) of EFEKTO ZERO RAT bait one to two meters apart in areas where activity is obvious, particularly where droppings, damage or any other signs of activity are seen. Always place bait where it is inaccessible to children, animals and birds, such as under flooring, inside ceiling cavities, along pipe runs and conduits and behind skirting boards, furniture and appliances.

Inspect baiting stations regularly and replenish pasta bait as described above for the control of rats. Look for, and burn all rodent carcasses and empty containers.

40 g, 100 g, 140 g, 200 g, 500 g
